Tony Clayton - Sevenoaks Town
Tony has lived in Sevenoaks with his family since 1983. He has worked with businesses in Britain and round the world, helping them grow new ideas. He worked in government on business policy under Vince Cable.
Tony is a Town councillor, and has served as District councillor, and as Mayor of Sevenoaks. He oversaw the design of Blighs Meadow shops and worked on conservation areas - including Hartslands and Wildernesse. Tony supports commuters as chair of Sevenoaks Rail Traveller's Association.
His priorities will be safer streets, especially the routes our children use to school, reducing traffic noise and keeping the air where you live safe to breath, and building up care in our local hospital to serve local people close to home, and fixing streets and pavements, using your money more effectively.
Merilyn Canet - Sevenoaks West

She worked in the local health service, currently serves as Town and District councillor and has been Mayor of Sevenoaks. Merilyn started air quality monitoring here, and boosted reecycling. She is trustee of a local school. and also work on creating better opportunities for older people through the Seniors Action Forum.
Merylin is passionate about cleaning up the air in blackspots from Westerham to Riverhead, in streets where people live and children go to school, She wants to make sure that all children can get the good quality education they need close to home. Merilyn works with Sevenoaks Rail Travellers to help commuters and also the many young and older people who use our rail services to travel locally.
Richard Streatfeild - Sevenoaks South
Richard grew up in Chiddingstone, where his family has lived for over 500 years, and he lives and works there now.
He is Chair of Chiddingstone Parish Council. In that role, over the last three years, the Council has helped to make a stronger rural economy, bringing High Speed Broadband to the area and working with Crockham Hill Community Interest Company. He has supported our farming and tourist industry through planning and grants, helped the Sports Association refurbish the sports pavilion in Chiddingstone through grants from the Parish Council and KCC and provided a public works loan for a new village hall in Chiddingstone Causeway.
Richard wants to work with all the Town and Parish Councils to help the local economy and community, but particularly to help to maintain Edenbridge High Street as a thriving economic hub for the whole area.
Krish Shanmuganathan - Sevenoaks North & Darent Valley
Krish Shanmuganathan was born in Dartford - and his family worked in the NHS locally. He came back to Farningham after working overseas, first representing Britain as a diplomat and then setting up the international offices of a small growing British company.
Krish now chairs a children's charity and runs his own consultancy company. He is an independent thinker and voice, not associated with any political elite. He comes with fresh ideas to help residents get heard on Kent County Council and for the council to communicate better with residents.
Krish will seek to work with all local councils to ensure that the local economies are supported in the event of a hard Brexit, take action on the traffic and air pollution issues in the area, and protect the green spaces which keeps our towns and villages distinct whilst promoting better public transports links to London and nearby towns.
John Owen Jones - Swanley
John Owen Jones lives in White Oak ward. He champions health, social welfare and environmental issues.
John has promised to be a full time County Councillor for the people of Swanley and Hextable. He would also ensure that all expenses paid go to local good causes.
John wants to protect the historic trees at the Woodlands and other green lungs of our community with tree preservation orders. He will fight to keep the Orchards open and not sold off by the Tories for housing.
He will also fight for health and welfare services to be delivered much closer to where people live, not centralised at hospitals many miles away.
John will champion safer streets and traffic calming, more road crossings, and 20 mph zones for schools. He wants to fix our roads properly, spend more money on their upkeep, and make sure infrastructure is in place for any new developments. This includes improved bus and rail services for Swanley and Hextable.
