We need more local primary school provision, says Merilyn Canet
I am concerned that small children can't go to their nearest school, if that is what their parents want. It is unfair to ask little children to become commuters to distant schools.
Many people are caring for children on their own and may have to work and not have access to a car.
It is also important for most children to go to the same school as their siblings, mutual support and encouragement. Single parents will then need only a babysitter for parents evenings.
I had to raise children on my own and also work fulltime to support my family. We managed partly because my children went to the same school near to where we lived.
It must be a difficult challenge to predict the numbers of school places needed by Kent County Council but we pay large amounts of council tax to make this happen. Our children's needs must be the priority.
