20 is plenty for Sevenoaks streets
When your local Lib Dem councillors asked last year what mattered to you, most people said safer streets and action on speeding traffic
· When the Council asked you what should go into its Community Plan you said top priority was slowing down the cars and making streets safe for our children
· When we asked if you support 20 mph limits in the streets where you live, the answer was an overwhelming YES!
· Sevenoaks Town Council supports 20 mph zones, but the District and County Councils and Kent Police keep passing the buck between each other.
David Naghi, Lib Dem Kent Police Commissioner candidate for May 5 backs our campaign for Safer Streets.

AFFORDABLE HOMES ? Sevenoaks District Council's latest Housing Needs Assessment shows what we all know. There is a desperate shortage of affordable homes to rent in Sevenoaks, to help key workers here. Selling Housing Association homes won't solve the problem. It is becoming clear that local Housing Associations will not be able to build affordable rented homes closer than Ashford. We need positive, realistic, support for affordable homes to rent. Otherwise the chances that Sevenoaks will be a 'balanced, sustainable, community' in 2020, with room for local workers, look very slim indeed. |
Want to vote, but tied up at work? Not well? Away on holiday? Just phone the District Council on 01732 227000 or email elreg@sevenoaks.gov.uk and ask for a Postal Vote form. They will send it to you so all you need to do is fill it in and post it back to the Electoral Registration Officer, Sevenoaks District Council, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks TN13 1HG. Do it today! |
