Help us restore Bat & Ball rail station

Bat & Ball station is a listed building, and could be very attractive indeed. But Southeastern Railways have let the buildings - and the footbridge to the up platform - sadly fall into decay and disrepair over recent years.

Bat & Ball also has no disabled access for the trains to Otford and beyond, meaning that some passengers from Sevenoaks station have to travel all the way to Swanley and back again to Bat & Ball in order to disembark from the train. It also lacks any announcements, affecting the visually impaired.

We therefore welcome a move by the Town Partnership to find tenants for the station building which will make the whole area more secure, fix the bridge, and if we can provide access as part of the Community Centre development - and make it possible to access the station from Cramptons Road.

"Let us all work together and help restore this vital and busy train station to its former glory," said Cllrs Cathy Baker and Merilyn Canet.
