Sevenoaks Lib Dems thank local residents

In their summer newsletter, Lib Dem councillors in Sevenoaks have thanked residents for their support and promised to continue campaigning on issues such as the lack of local school places.

The Lib Dem team said they would continue to press for safer streets, a greener Sevenoaks, and better support for volunteers who help to make our community work for everyone. They also updated residents on the campaign to end the "educational valley of death", where poor planning from local Conservatives has left many parents without access to a local school.

In May's local elections, Liberal Democrats in Sevenoaks defied the national trend. Despite a reduced national vote, Lib Dems ended up with as many Sevenoaks Town and District councillors after the election as before.

Lib Dems have become the largest (and only) opposition group on both Sevenoaks District and Town Councils. Thousands supported us at the ballot boxes and our strong team of councillors and volunteers will work hard for everyone in Sevenoaks.
