Lib Dems oppose housing mega-development plans for Swanley and Hextable

Dear Sir,

Swanley and Hextable residents are quite right to oppose the gigantic new housing developments put forward by Sevenoaks District Council on their green and pleasant fields.

Our survey responses show that once again Conservative councillors have taken the local people of Swanley and Hextable for granted, and failed to consult them properly over what would be significant changes to their local environment, with long-lasting and highly detrimental impacts on the quality of life, turning quiet roads into rat-runs.

As your Lib Dem town council candidate for White Oak, and the county council division of Swanley, I will fight tooth and nail to keep the open spaces which make Swanley and Hextable distinct. This is marked in contrast with the ruling Tories.

So I call on you to vote Lib Dem in all the by-elections being held on October 13, and send a strong message to stop these mega-developments in their tracks right now.

Yours,

Robert Woodbridge
