Councillors at work in The Lakes

Councillors from all parties joined local residents at the weekend to sweep up autumn leaves, clear paths, and cut back the undergrowth in Bradbourne Lakes.

On Saturday morning they shifted piles of leaves and the tree branches which had blocked the waterways - causing floods in last week's heavy rain.

The Residents' Assocation mobilised people of all ages, councillors and even the local MP.

Councillors Merilyn Canet and Tony Clayton pitched in - here filling a skip.

Thanks to everyone who got it together, and who contributed!
