Asking residents about Electric Vehicle charging

Libby Ancrum and the Liberal Democrats were out in Kennedy Gardens and Hartslands on Saturday and Sunday asking local people about electric car charging.
Most people here don't have off street parking, so charging a car from home can be very hard to do. So far Sevenoaks District Council has concentrated on chargers in its town centre car paks - about a mile away!
About 70 percent of local residents would like to be able to charge a car. Although most haven't been able to buy an electric car yet, they know it's coming and things have to change.
So we'll be working with them to develop solutions that work in each road - because they're all different!
