Dear Neighbour,

As a European voter you were not able to vote in the referendum, or the 2015
year's general election which brought it about. Like many British citizens
living overseas, you had no voice in decisions that affect you.

We want you to know that Liberal Democrats are working for:

  • the rights of people who came to the UK and made their lives here

  • the rights of UK citizens living in Europe.

We want Parliament to guarantee the rights of people living here, and do it
now. It's wrong to treat people contributing to Britain as 'bargaining counters'.
Before Christmas Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron asked leaders of all
Liberal parties in Europe - seven of them Prime Ministers - to guarantee the
rights of UK citizens in their countries.

People who have come to our community over the years make it stronger. We
also know that being able to study, work and live overseas has made life
better for many UK citizens and for countries they have gone to. If you want
Britain to be fair, free and open please get in touch.

Yours Sincerely,

Tony Clayton, Candidate for Kent County Council, Sevenoaks Town
