A New Tax Year Means Lower Income Tax

The new tax year started on the 6th April so that most people being paid at the end of this week or at the end of this month will see a larger take home pay.

LibDems have championed the raising of the tax threshold so that those on the lowest income do not pay any income tax and those on modest incomes keep more of their earnings.

From the 6th April the first £10,600 of income is TAX FREE. This is a TAX CUT of £825 for 27 million workers since 2010 when the LibDems became part of the government.

LibDems care about the plight of those on low and modest incomes - the wealthy tend to look after themselves - and this TAX CUT is a great example of Liberal Democrat polices being delivered.
