Let's Support Each Other in 2022

We welcome the New Year, each of us hoping that the sharing and kindness in our Sevenoaks community over the last year will continue.
We should thank - and recognise - the NHS and care workers for looking after us though the second wave of Covid; pharmacists and medical staff for the extraordinary vaccination programme through the year, volunteers supporting vulnerable people as well as all the key workers for keeping essential public services going.
It's been tough for many local businesses too. Many of them invested so much to make Sevenoaks a great place to come for Christmas - I hope we will all be able to support them through the latest difficulties.
We can start preparing for a better 2022. All of us can look forward to the Queen's Platinum Jubilee starting just six weeks away in February with the official events in June, and the Commonwealth Games in July. But the most important things we can do are to share the good things we have here in Sevenoaks. Our town has so many remarkable people, willing to support each other
At Sevenoaks Town Council we will continue to action the Green Investment Plan published before Christmas. So many of you have come forward to support it, to build a sustainable Sevenoaks, that we can make exciting things happen! Please add your ideas to make our town the best it can be. In 2022 we can certainly plant more trees together.
I wish everyone a very Happy New Year
